Dammam, July 30, 2025 – NMDC Energy has officially commenced operations at its new 400,000 sqm fabrication yard in Ras Al Khair, Saudi Arabia, following a steel-cutting ceremony this week.
Key Details of the New Facility
- Location: Ras Al Khair Special Economic Zone (SEZ), where NMDC Energy serves as an anchor tenant.
- Capacity: Annual production capacity of 40,000 tonnes, supporting offshore and onshore projects, including modularization and rigging.
- Investment: $54.5 million in development, with initial production already underway for nine offshore jackets ordered by Saudi Aramco.
Localization & Workforce Expansion
- Over 1,800 employees are being relocated from Abu Dhabi to staff the facility.
- The company aims for a 39% IKTVA (In-Kingdom Total Value Add) score by 2025, increasing to 51% by 2028 as part of its Saudi localization strategy.
